Good question.  I completely agree with trying to find a CPA who deals with a lot of other clients in your industry.

When it comes to valuing a business, though, you can also get some good information and insight from a CPA trained in business valuations.  You can search for a CPA with this specialty on our home page.  Near the bottom of the pulldown menu, you'll see we have the specialty "business valuations" listed.  We currently have six or so CPAs listed who are trained in business valuations.
